Weak Earthquake Recorded in Central Alabama
CENTER POINT, Ala. (AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey says a 3.0-magnitude earthquake has been reported in central Alabama.
The quake struck just before 6 p.m. Tuesday and was centered about 10 miles northeast of Birmingham.
A police dispatcher tells The Birmingham News (http://bit.ly/npGg8 ) that they received a few calls from residents who felt the tremor but had not received any reports of structural damage.
Last month, a 5.8-magnitude earthquake in Virginia shook people from Georgia to Canada. It was the strongest quake to strike the East Coast since World War II.
5 Jesus began to answer them, "Be careful that no one fools you. 6 Many people will come in my name, saying, 'I am the One,' and they will fool many people.7 When you hear about wars and stories of wars that are coming, don't be afraid. These things must happen before the end comes. 8 Nations will fight against other nations, and kingdoms against other kingdoms. There will be earthquakes in different places, and there will be times when there is no food for people to eat. These things are like the first pains when something new is about to be born. - Mark 13:5-8
20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” - Revelation 22:20
